100 KVA Isolation Transformer Product Introduction

Isolation transformers are classified as safety power supplies, generally used for machine maintenance and repair, with functions of circuit protection, lightning protection and filtering. An isolation transformer is a 1:1 transformer. Its primary side single-phase voltage is 220V and the secondary side is also 220V; or the primary three-phase voltage is 380V and the secondary three-phase voltage is also 380V.

The working principle of an isolation transformer refers to a transformer whose input winding and output winding are electrically isolated from each other. It eliminates hazards arising from accidental simultaneous contact with live components (or metal parts that may become live due to insulation damage) and the ground. It shares the same electromagnetic induction principle as ordinary dry-type transformers. Its core function is to isolate the power supply circuit, and the secondary circuit floats to ground to guarantee power consumption safety.

100 KVA Isolation Transformer Product Features

Isolation transformers were first used in Europe. So what are the differences between them and other types of transformers?

Core Differences Between Ordinary Transformers and Isolation Transformers

Ordinary Transformer

  • The core function is to adjust the voltage level and realize the step-up or step-down operation of AC power.
  • It is widely used for voltage boosting in power transmission systems and voltage reduction for terminal equipment.
  • There is an electrical connection between the primary and secondary circuits, and complete isolation is not achieved.

Isolation Transformer

  • It has the dual functions of voltage conversion and circuit isolation.
  • It transfers energy through the principle of electromagnetic induction and cuts off the direct electrical path.
  • The secondary circuit maintains electrical independence, effectively preventing electric shock accidents.

Electrical Parameters of the 100 kVA Isolation Transformer

This 100 kVA isolation transformer produced by CHBEB, as a medium and small-sized solution among transformers, provides stable power for precision instruments and prevents equipment damage caused by grid fluctuations. In commercial buildings, it can be used for power supply in lighting systems or air conditioning systems to improve electrical safety. In some special applications, such as laboratories or data centers, the isolation transformer can also effectively suppress electromagnetic interference and ensure the normal operation of equipment. The original design purpose is to provide a more stable, safer, and lower-noise environment by sacrificing a small portion of power. The following are its electrical parameters:
