Product Introduction

200 kVA Pole Mounted Transformer is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When high-voltage electric energy flows through the high-voltage coil, the generated magnetic field produces magnetic flux in the iron core. This magnetic flux further induces electromotive force in the low-voltage coil, thereby converting high-voltage electric energy into low-voltage electric energy.

Specifically, after the pole-mounted transformer is connected to the power supply, magnetic flux is generated in the coil due to the flow of current. This magnetic flux passes through the magnetic circuit inside and outside the coil and finally forms flux linkage. Since the flux linkage inside the coil is generated by current, it is called self-inductance flux linkage or inductive flux linkage.

When the number of turns of the two coils in the transformer is different, the voltage in the transformer changes. This is because when the magnetic flux passes through coils with different numbers of turns, different voltages are generated inside and outside the coils.

Product Application

In the U.S. power distribution system, pole-mounted cylindrical transformers are a very common type of distribution equipment, widely used in urban blocks, suburban residences, rural power grids, farm power supply, and distributed power consumption areas.

Because many areas in the United States have low population density and relatively scattered building distribution, overhead distribution lines have obvious advantages in construction cost, installation efficiency, and maintenance convenience. Pole-mounted cylindrical transformers can be directly installed on utility poles and used together with overhead lines, providing stable low-voltage power supply for residences, farms, small commercial facilities, and rural users.

Compared with underground distribution systems, overhead distribution systems have lower construction costs and more convenient later maintenance, especially suitable for areas with wide coverage and scattered users. At the same time, wooden utility poles are widely used in some areas of the United States, and the pole-mounted installation method further reduces the construction cost of the distribution system.

Therefore, pole-mounted cylindrical transformers are widely used in suburbs, rural areas, farms, and some urban distribution networks in the United States, becoming one of the important and practical pieces of equipment in local low-voltage distribution systems.
