Like all our pad mounted units, this one sits on a concrete pad at ground level. The steel enclosure locks shut. Dead-front termination means no exposed live parts on the primary side — which matters when the unit is going into a location where people might be nearby. Inside: cold-rolled silicon steel core, copper windings, mineral oil cooling. No external ventilation needed.
Compared to 112.5 kVA, this one handles a meaningful step up in load. The physical size doesn’t change that much — so if you’re on the fence between the two, 150 kVA is usually the more sensible call unless your load is consistently low.

Standard build uses copper windings. Higher conductivity means less heat under load and better efficiency over the unit’s service life. For the 150 kVA pad mounted transformer, copper winding is the default — aluminum is available if the project spec calls for it or cost is the priority.
