Compared with dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers have more advantages in heat dissipation efficiency and overload capacity. Dry-type transformers rely on air convection for heat dissipation and require larger installation space; while oil-immersed transformers benefit from the much higher heat exchange efficiency of oil than air, allowing large-capacity design and a more compact size.
